Residential Sewage Pump

Residential Sewage Pump

Residential sewage pumps are normally installed below grade where normal flow is not possible. A typical installation would be in a basement where waste materials need to be pumped up to the main waste line. This type of system requires a pit to be dug for the pump housing and both waste and ventilation stacks.

These units are high capacity and can handle just about any type of residential waste. They are self contained and can provide quiet efficient operation for many years.

They work exactly like a sump pump, as the water level rises the float activates the pump and evacuates the waste.

Installing one of these units is a bear of a job and requires considerable time and skill to complete. It is highly recommende that you consider professional installation for this type of project. If you have time on your side then it's a pretty straight forward installation keeping in mind flow, ventilation and electrical requirements.

Sewage pump units require a dedicated electrical circuit and draw considerable amp due to the nature of their work load.
