Plumbing Manifold

Plumbing Manifold

A new method for the distribution of residential water is becoming more widely accepted in the home improvement and new construction building industry. A manifold plumbing system is a control center for hot and cold water. Flexible PEX supply lines are fed from the manifold to individual locations and fixtures. Manifolds along with interdependent plastic piping offers cost advantages over conventional rigid pipe and copper plumbing systems.

Manifold systems have the ability to accept all common plumbing supply lines subsequent to any installation down to a 3/8-inch line. Normally, a parallel supply line layout will be used with a manifold which requires fewer fittings thus perpetuating less pressure drops in the system.

A manifold system is very easy to install and eliminates time consuming connection and pipe routing installations. As flexible lines are durable and are as easy to feed as electrical wire. Considerable care must be taken when installing this type of unique water distribution system. Proper fitting connections and proper framing are essential for the long term use and overall effectiveness of this truely revolutionary system.
