Termite Inspection

Termite Inspection

If you are buying a home or suspect that you may have termites you should always do an inspection for termites. A termite inspection is a visual inspection of the accessible areas of your home for any evidence of wood damaging insects and wood destroying organisms. Throughout the inspection, the inspector will visually check the interior of a home and any basements and crawlspaces as well as the exterior of the property. Some areas have dry wood termites, in which case the attic would be inspected. A detailed report including pictures and recommendations will be prepared. In the event you have any termites you should consider the cost of termite damage repair and the likelihood of these little critter returning. Generally a good visual inspection will uncover any issues the home may have at which time a termite mitigation company should be called to eliminate and repair the damages.

I my travels I have noticed that termites like a certain amount of moisture as well as access points that are easily accessible such as windows or door ways.
