Architectural Fence

Architectural Fence

This is one of the most amazing fence projects we have ever seen. Master engineer Mitch Fiedler has designed this Cape Cod style architectural fence that is held together by one cable and interlocking dato cuts with horizontal members. The tension of the horizontal cable pulls the interlocking pieces together and makes a modern engineering marvel.

Concrete anchoring footers with belled bottoms and rebar were dug and set by the wash for added stability and wind protection.

Inspired by sound barrier fenced found in Cape Cod, this fence is not only beautiful to look at but fully modular and structurally perfect. The building inspector came to look at this wonder and approved it instantly after picking his jaw off the ground. This looks like something you would find in Japan.

Mitch is an established craftsman and accomplished engineer with a background in hydrolics, aeronautical design, special effects, sound engineering, and computer systems. He is truely a genious in every respect. We at need2build.com are honored to present his work.

You may ask yourself why Mitch went to all this trouble over a fence. We'll in order to meet the city's building code requirements which included easement restrictions on water and power. Mitch decided to incorporate water and power directly into the fence meeting all requirements and city inspections.

Plans for this structural fence will be available for digital download in the very near future.
