A bid sheet is a sheet normally prepared by a contractor which breaks down a specific scope of work to be performed. Start and completion dates, references, workers comp and liability documentation.

A bid sheet includes the work to be performed, the materials used and the price for each item. This bid sheet is then reviewed by the homeowner or client for acceptance.

There are many software estimation programs available to help you determine the costs of your home improvement project. For a general idea of how much a home improvement project will cost you may want to do a search for online construction estimation programs. They are normally free and can provide estimates on home improvement projects from drywall to painting or entire construction projects.
