Central Air Conditioner

Central Air Conditioner

Central air conditioning is a term that describes a system that cools air within a particular environment. Most common residential central air conditioning systems cool the entire house via ducts and vents. Central air is a convenient and generally cost effective way to provide temperature control and indoor comfort to your home.

Central air consists of a central air unit found outside the home and a return coil which connects to the existing ductwork in the HVAC system.

Central air conditioning systems can save you money in the long run by effective temperature management.

For more information about saving energy and central air conditioning, please go the energy star central air website.

The central air system consists of an outdoor fan and refridgerant unit. The refridgerant travels through a coil system which absorbs heat and releases it outside. During this process the coils becaome refridgerated and the fan sends cool air into the home. Warm air is then released into the air.

A heat pump work much like a central air unit but instead of cool air it sends hot air into the home.
